I imaged the Rosette nebula for a total of almost 10 hours from Malta, using a 5 inch Newtonian and an astro-modified Canon 600D. The nebula is a massive star-forming region in Monoceros, located around 5,000 light years from Earth. The central star cluster, NGC2244, formed from the nebula itself. via /r/spaceporn https://ift.tt/2SOwxMb
